It’s estimated that one in four people suffers from bad breath. That means you – and me, sometime in our lives will have or have had breath that puts people off because we just don’t smell right.
And until you find a cure for your breath, you’ll be scaring people away, may even giving them the wrong impression; that you’re either not well or not hygienic.
Serious bad breath, known as halitosis, should be treated as quickly as possible not only so that it doesn’t change the way people see you or deal with but helps you to treat any other health issues you have and don’t know about. Ignorance might feel all right but it also might kill you. A lot more than your breath will start to smell.
Oral Bacteria
Oral bacteria live in your mouth and responsible for ninety percent of smelly breath. The tongue is the biggest culprit and one of the organs we rarely think about. But most oral bacteria live at the back of the tongue. That means that’s where bad breath can accumulate and gather unless you do something about it.

Removing the bacteria from the tongue, either on it in the tiny grooves or under it becomes very important. A sign of tongue neglect leading to bad breath is a coating of bacteria on the tongue. Your tongue should be pink and healthy to look at.
If it’s not then you have a problem. Using a tooth brush or tongue scraper to clean it is simple enough. Your tongue is a sign of your over all health so if that’s not healthy then chances are other parts of you aren’t either.
Bacteria can flourish in the mouth, between the teeth and on the tongue, especially after eating food.
Particles of food can be stuck between the teeth or in the gum line and the bacteria will then begin to thrive on it. This is where the problem of bacteria caused badbreath begins.
Deal with this and you are half way there.
Number One Solution to Getting Rid Of Your Bacteria
You can easily remove oral bacteria from under the gum lines, on the teeth and tongue by regular brushing, flossing and tongue cleaning every day after meals and before you go to bed.
Yes, it’s that easy. But most people can’t be bothered and bad breath follows everywhere. Is that you?
When I say brushing, flossing and tongue cleaning, that’s at least two or three times every day.
These three little steps will do a lot to get rid of bacteria in your mouth and reduce your badbreath.
Masking your breath with fresheners, gum or mints might do as a short term solution but in the end you are still stuck with bad breath.
You aren’t doing yourself or anyone else any favors by masking the smell even though it might seem like it at the time.
If oral bacteria are really causing your smelly breath then removing it as quickly as possible before it continues to grows is the best remedy.
So I hope that I have convinced you that the best breath cure if caused by oral bacteria is to thoroughly and regularly cleanse your teeth, gums and tongue.

We’ve investigated the problems of high blood sugar levels which takes us to diet and halitosis. Sudden changes in diet can also cause bad breath. Fasting causes ketosis, as does a high protein diet, which also excludes carbohydrates.
People who want to lose weight rapidly or increase their muscle size are often on diets that use fat for energy.
Once again ketones build up in blood, finding their way to the lungs in the process and are later expelled as smelly bad breath.
