What hepls with Chronic halitosis?
We tried flosing more gargling brushing . It seems when his teeth feel the cleanest is when the breath is bad? Any supplements Herbs that may help?
Brushing and flossing clean at MOST 3 millimeters below the gumline. If you have periodontal disease, you could have pockets that are 4, 5, 7, 9, 12 millimeters below the visible gum line (depending on the severity of the disease). Periodontal disease is slowly progressing, usually painless, and cannot be reversed by brushing and flossing alone. You may need scaling and root planing (AKA: a deep cleaning) to remove the accumulations below your gums. These bacteria, that thrive in oxygen-poor environments, tend to give off gases that smell bad. See a dentist ASAP for a complete evaluation. Also, don’t forget to brush the roof of your mouth AND your tongue. Many bacteria can be harbored in those places as well. If nothing seems to work, see a physician. The stomach can sometimes be a cause for halitosis. Best of luck.
