3 year old, 15 pound Miniature Dachshund, types of food we should be feeding her?
She has been eating Purina One up until about a week ago when we decided to change to Purina Pro Plan for Small Breed Dogs and ever since then she has had really bad breath! we are really wondering if it was the food. we want to try another brand of food that will be healthy for her and keep her at her current weight and something with the most natural ingredients in it that isn’t too pricey.
I`m assuming the bad breath is from the food. I`m sure there`s a lot of grain or corn in the food.
Good for you for looking for a more natural diet for her. But personally I don`t think price is an issue when you take on the responsibility to care for a dog.
Although eating healthy is not that much more expensive than eating purina.
doh as dry skin ? flakey skin ?
my dog terrier/poodle has dry skin mostly in one spot ? on her back and a little bit on her tail ? she bites there to its not to bad but i would like some cheap natural ways of getting rid of dry flakey skin ? oh yeah is there anyways of making her breath smell better she has well really bad doggy breath lol …. so i would like some good cheap ways of making her breath smell nice and minty ?? ive tryed different doggy bones that take away the smell and clean there teeth but my dog dont chew bones so forget about bone
ive also tryed breath busters they didnt work !!??? so any other ways of making her breath smell better ?
sorry i spelled my question wrong i mean DOG **
Try feeding her a better dog food or looking into a raw diet – for both the skin and the teeth. It won’t make your dog’s breath smell minty – but dog breath isn’t supposed to be minty. Proper dental care (brushing teeth) will also help.
Keep your dog from eating poop. That will also help.
Good luck!
