Bad Breath From Stomach Acid Bad Breath From Stomach Acid

Do I actually have acid reflux?

I have NONE of the symptoms of acid reflux.

NO heart burn, NO stomach pain, NO reaction to any food.

The only symptom I have is a spitting problem. Mucous seems to magically appear at the back of my throat. And I MUST hack it up or I will not be able to breath as it chokes me. It keeps me from breathing, therefore I HAVE to spit it out.

I have tried to swallow it, but I feel EXTREMELY bad. I feel dizzy and queasy, and generally unwell.

So is it possible that this could be acid reflux, or is my doctor wrong? Is spitting a problem of acid reflux? Because from everything I have read and seen, it is not a symptom. Any one else have acid reflux out there, do you spit a lot? Anyone else had a spitting problem like I do? If so do you know what it is and how to get rid of it?

PLEASE help me I am tired of getting drugged by doctor after doctor to no results. I have had this problem for A YEAR and a half!!!!!! My entire life has gone to hell. PLEASE HELP. :`(

I’m not that sure, but I have acid reflux whereby fluid seems to come up my oesophagus and I cough, some times it burns and sometimes it does not.. Coughing is a sign of reflux, as is difficulty in breathing sometimes. Have you had any tests at the hospital. Are you on any pills such as Nexium, these reduce stomach acid. Could it be nasal drip, coming from the back of your nose and sticking at the back of the throat.
Ask your Doctor to send you to the hospital for proper tests.

is it possible to have bad breath from over production of stomach acid?

Not sure. Although it’s possible to have bad breath if you ate something a little bit whiffy and it’s bubbling back up with the acid…

Bad Breath Due To Sinuses

Bad Breath Due To Sinuses Bad Breath Due To Sinuses

Taking plavix and having bad side effects?

My Doctor put me on plavix due to an injury I sustained to my carotid artery. Shortly after I started the medication, my sinuses became a problem. I can barely breath through my nose sometimes and when I clear them, a bloody clot seems to dislodge. I’ve contacted the Doctor but haven’t heard back from him yet. I’m supposed to take more tonight, but don’t want to. Any thoughts?

Your nose is full of tiny blood vessels called capillaries. In the general sense Plavix is a blood-thinner, making these capillaries more prone to leakage of small amounts of blood. Damage to the carotid has the potential for accumulating an unstable clot which could choke off carotid blood supply to the head or dislodge and travel to the brain or eye, potentially resulting in permanent damage (like blindness or stroke) or even death. Plavix keeps these clots from occuring. So while your nose congestion may be irritating and uncomfortable, the consequences of discontinuing the Plavix could be life-threatening, and I would advise you to take it until your physician contacts you.

Sinus infection or something else…?

It started 2 days ago with a burning throat and nose. I felt like I had chili peppers stuck in my sinus cavities and that my tonsils were on fire. It burned really bad for about a day and then the burning in my face turned into really bad congestion. When I blow my nose some of it is clear and some is yellow (if i can get much out) and today I cannot smell anything at all but I can breath out of my nose a little. My throat is on fire and my chest hurts (my asthma is acting up again). When I talk it sounds really bad. I am also completely drained and kinda delusional due to lack of sleep. I do not have medical insurance but I do have a really good relationship with my doctor and if I need him to he will call something in. Any advise on what it is and what I should do? Also, It feels like a sinus infection but the throat and cough are throwing me off.

This has happened to me before. It faded within about a week. I have highly severe allergies, but not asthma. I would tell you to call in your doctor, because it sounds a bit more than a sinus infection to me. Good Luck, Feel Better. xx

OMG! I have the same thing!. It hurts so bad that I cry. I have tried a heating pad for a few minutes and it eases it but as soon as I take it off it comes back when I am standing, sitting laying down and even driving. It really sucks. I never felt this with my 1st pregnancy. But it is on my right side under my shoulder blade of my back. Sometimes when it is really bad it spreads to my left side on the exact same spot.
I am not obese. But I am the heaviest with this pregnancy than I have ever been in my whole life. I have gained 40 pounds. I weighed 132 when I got pregnant and yesterday when I was weighed for my doc appointment I weighed 172. Scary!

All I know is I cannot wait till it goes away. I am SO sick of this pain!
I hope you feel better
Good Luck

29 weeks pregnant and stabbing pain in hip/groin into back?

I’m 29 weeks pregnant and have had no complaints this far. Starting yesterday I have this stabbing pain in front of my Right hip bone that goes through and up my back a bit. I work in the medical field and checked the baby, she is fine, my kidney is fine. I am planning on calling the doctor this afternoon cause at some points I can barely breath it hurts so much. But I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of what this might be?? And I’m not one to complain about pain, but this is pretty bad!

It’s ur sciatic nerve, however the hell u spell it. Ya it totally sucks and does hurt. I had it w/ mine it was hard to drive or do anything. Nothing can be done about it sorry to say.

Cause Of Bad Breath Bacteria 5 Cause Of Bad Breath Bacteria

White/Beige/Cream colored stuff on my tongue… What is it? And how do I get rid of it?

See, I see this creamy colored stuff on the back half of my tongue. I think it’s bacteria, but I’m not quite sure. My main concern is it’s causing me to have bad breath and I’m afraid to open my mouth at school, etc. So I want to know how to get rid of it please. Thanks!

Some other notes: I haven’t been brushing my teeth regularly but now I am, and I’m also starting to use Listerine mouthwash. I don’t brush my tongue because I have a strong gag reflex so unless I absolutely have to then I will do that but I would rather not.

You are right, it is bacteria.
You must brush regularly. Use a tongue scraper. You can get one in the toothbrush section of your store. If you prefer, you can substitute a spoon for the tongue scraper. They both work basically the same.
A good mouthwash is a good thing too.

Some people have more bacteria on their tongues than others do. Good dental hygeine is essential no matter what!

Good luck!

The Black Death; aka bubonic plague: why did the victims smell bad before they died?

I was always wondering this: When my high school history teacher was lecturing about the Black Death and how it killed a huge chunk of Europe, she was describing all the symptoms and also saying that the victims had a foul odor, like, smelled terrible right before they died. Because of the bad smell, esp from their breath, scented posy flowers were stuffed in their pockets (“Pocket full of posy” from the nursery rhyme). What exactly was causing the plague victims to have such a bad and disgusting stench? Was the odor caused by the plague bacteria producing toxins in them and rotting their organs? or something else such as dead corpses already around them? What’s anyone else’s input on this? Thanks

First of all, teachers aren’t always right. It’s a myth that Ring Around the Rosie has anything to do with the Black Death: http://www.snopes.com/language/literary/rosie.asp

If indeed people with the Black Death smelled, it could be because plague causes hemhorraging of the lungs, which leads to death. There are theories that the Black Death was not plague, but rather something else (anthrax and an ebola-type virus have been suggested), but still the death from blood in the lungs, and lesions of infection on the skin, could cause a foul odor.

Bad Breath Nasal

Bad Breath Nasal 3 Bad Breath Nasal

My friend has a very bad cold, he can’t breath without difficulty. Nasal spray and decongestants don’t work.?

I’ve brought everything that I can and nothing helps him breath. He is a diabetic so he has to be careful of what he takes.

ok.. this may be a few things.. differential’s as follows (either way, if it’s that bad, go to ER, or doctor STAT): pneumonia, bronchitis, spinal (or other type) meningitis, strain of influenza b. He’ll need a pulmonary corticosteroid and/or Pure oxygen for the breathing.. but medicine will help for long term..

Chest irritation and bad Nasal Congestion when going outside in cold air ?

Ok,
I got some infection when winter started 3 months ago.
Since then when I go outside in cold weather my chest starts to irritate and my nose gets blocked and its hard to breath.

Now I am like afraid of going outside in winter because of this irritation.

I had blood work which shows no sign of infection.

why do i get this irritation its not pain ? Maybe when I inhale Cold Air ????

it could be from asma i would go to the doctor this happens to me all the time in winter

Bad Breath Hunger

Bad Breath Hunger 6 Bad Breath Hunger

My metabolism is too fast!?

My metabolism is TOO fast!

For example:

After a lot of exercising during P.E, I ate a very filling lunch. I can’t tell you how hungry I got! I had horible sharp pains that were killing me that I only get when I am completely dying of hunger. It hurt to laugh, to move, to breath sharply. It was horrible!

It has never been this bad, I mean sometimes I get so so hungry no matter how filling my meals are, or no matter how nutricious they are.

Is there I can do to slow down my metabolism just a little bit? I don’t keep food in my backpack, and even if I did, I wouldn’t be able to stuff enough food in there to keep me full.

I am tall and very thin, but I am also athletic. Even as a really little kid, I have had a really fast metabolism, but now it is out of hand!

you might not be eating the right foods. you need to increase your protein intake to about 40% of your daily calories and increase your fat intake to 30% as well. proteins and fats keep you feeling satisfied for a longer period then does a low protein, high carbo meal.

does bad breath usually happen because of hunger?

even if somone does all the brushing and stuff, would it still happen if the person gets hungry? if so, is there anything specific that can be eaten in the last meal in order to not have bad breath?

Dehydration can cause it.

Bad Breath Tonsil Stones

Posted: June 16th, 2009 | Author: Rupert | Filed under: Causes of Bad Breath | No Comments »

[mage lang="" source="flickr"]Bad Breath Tonsil Stones[/mage]

What should i do about tonsil stones?

i have had them since about the third grade, i’m a junior now. And recently my tonsils are so swollen i can hardly swallow and talk at times, and my breath just smells so bad. The Stones have gotten bigger over time and its getting really annoying like there is always something in the back of my throat. Can i possibly have my tonsils out? What did you do?

Taking out tonsils seems to have gone out of fashion… almost everyone of my age (55) had their tonsils out the minute they started causing a problem.. mine were taken out when I was 5… but now they seem to prefer to leave them in.. you know the answer here, go and see a doctor.. obviously, we can all give an opinion, but only a doctor can decide what to do. even if its decided not to remove them, it sounds like you need antibiotics at least.. apparently, when mine were bad, every little cut and graze I had turned septic because of the bacteria in my blood from the infected tonsils.. if you were my child, I would really pressure the doctor to have them removed.

How to get rid of Tonsil Stones?

I get tonsil stones all the time and I am always fooling with them, digging for them and its really anying and they give you bad breath. Does anyone know how to get rib of them???

This is a build up of sulfur producing microorganisms, and food fragments that become stuck in the tonsils. When these fragments mingle with the volatile sulfur compounds created by the anaerobic bacteria under the surface of the tongue, this causes chronic halitosis and tonsil stones.
Try a oxygenating tooth paste (Dr Katz) Thera Breath can find at local drug store or on line.
www.riteaid.com
Follow directions then also buy a Good mouth wash Try Smart-mouth same as before at local drug store.
Nasal drops can play a huge part in getting rid of this as well since nasal dip is a big problem for tonsils this may help rid the stones for good.
