Yeah! Our doggies don’t have bad breath any more. We heard about this Pet Oral Hygiene Solution from a friend who’s a new Oxyfresh distributor. The stuff really works.
Since we have four (don’t ask) dogs, three of which are true lap dogs, their bad breath was a BIG problem in our house. The three small dogs also sleep with us, and we were constantly putting them back at the foot of the bed to keep from being offended in the middle of the night. Now we actually like for them to snuggle with us. Whenever we come home they jump up to greet us, especially when we’ve been on a trip; they’re not satisfied till they can give us a “kiss”. This used to be a turn-off for us, but now we think it’s sweet. My husband says I should be as glad to see him as they are, but that’s another story altogether.
I checked out this product before buying it from Chris. According to comments from other customers, veterinarians and groomers, it not only works great, it’s easy to use and their clients love it. I can add my “Amen” to their testimonials. Once a day when I change their water bowls, I just add a little to the water. So easy, and I’ve noticed their bowls don’t get slimy like they used to. I told my friends about the Pet OHS and now they order it for their dogs.
Oxyfresh also points out that the Pet OHS really helps keep our pets’ (dogs, cats, ferrets, etc) mouths cleaner, which helps their teeth and gums stay cleaner and healthier. And they use natural ingredients, don’t do any animal testing and it’s completely safe. According to what I’ve read, the active ingredient is de-activated once it hits the stomach; something to do with the Ph level of the stomach being a lot different than the level in the mouth.
Oxyfresh also makes dental products for us, which I absolutely couldn’t do without. They taste good, have no strong flavors and no alcohol, and they last much longer than products from the local stores. The rinse doesn’t just cover up my bad breath, making it smell “minty fresh” or like some weird medicine. It actually makes it smell fresh. I also have dry mouth, and the rinse really helps with that.
Anyway, if you want to try it, here’s what I do: I just go to my friend’s website and order. Here’s the link: Chris’ Oxyfresh site. You can also call them at (800) 333-7374, but be sure to mention his name, Chris O’Kelley. It helps him out, which he needs right now.
I had his teeth cleaned professionally. But after a month or so, his bad breath has returned. I have another cat and his breath is fine. Both cats have the same diet. Thanks.!
It is possible that your cat may have an abscessed tooth, or cavity. I had two cats that were on the same diet as well, one cat no problems, the other had a rotten tooth. I would talk to your vet about it as soon as possible so it does not turn into a more serious infection.
My cat has bad breath, and yellow teeth?
Don’t say “Go to the vet” because we are. I just want to know what it means. Thanks
It could mean bad teeth, indigestion problems. Ask your vet. Could need teeth cleaning. Try keeping them on dry food only for a while and see if their teeth improve,if not,get them cleaned.
what sickness are cause to humans due to cat and dog urine that is so bad we cannot breath in house?
I know there is an infection or what not you can get when you are pregnant if you have a cat, it can really damage your baby. I don’t remember the name of it.
If you were wanting to know what about the dog/cat urnine makes it hard to breath indoors- it is the amonia in their urine. They would have to be urinating a lot inside the house before you’d feel like you couldn’t breath though.

I rescued this kitten from the streets while he was near death and he’s had stinky breath since the day I found him. I assumed the smell was caused by whatever he was thriving on at the time but he’s been living with me for a month now and his stinky breath has followed through. I’m feeding him a vet recommended dried food for kittens called “Science Diet” and Whiskas wet food. He has white teeth and healthy gums. I understand a cats mouth isn’t meant to smell of flowers and sweet things but his breath is unbearable, I gag everytime I’m cuddling him and he yawns or opens his mouth to bite on a chew toy. It’s so bad. Help?
@ Mark: As I stated I never expected a cat’s breath to be minty fresh. But I’ve raised cats in the past and it’s definitely not normal for a cats breath to be this unbearable. I’ll look into your product suggestion.
All kittens’ and cats’ breath stink. Imagine how yours would be if you hadn’t brushed your teeth for your entire life!
It’s completely normal, but you ought to try to switch between different foods till you find one that may be better for his mouth! Try more than two types. There are also chewing “candy” for dogs that get rid of plaque buildup when they chew them. Maybe you could go to the pet store and see if there are ones for cats too.
Edit: DON’T use stuff like what Teal is suggesting. Mouthwash and “things that kill bacteria” contain antibiotica and could cause your cat to form a resistance to antibiotics. That way when she’s actually sick, she could not react to the antibiotics you give her. Never use antibiotics when you don’t have to!
Edit #2: You never thought Listerine contained antibiotics either, did you? Well, it does – and you call it safe but no doctor would ever recommend it so =]
Edit #3: First off, I’m not giving anyone a beating. Secondly. things that kill bacteria are antibiotics. End of story. If she wants to change her mind and say it’s oxydating, then sure, but it doesn’t kill bacteria!
I’d still recommend getting chewy treats against plaque. =) We actually had this problem with a pair of brother kittens that both had UNBEARABLE breath and really smelly gas. Turned out they were allergic or reacted badly to a lot of foods. Simply changing the food a couple of times solved the problem for us.
There’s something wrong with my kitty.?
My cat has been throwing up alot. It started yesterday, and has gotten worse tonight. He only eats dry food, and it’s *not* any of that which has been recalled, because it’s dry. Besides that, I’ve had these kibbles longer than the recall. He’s strictly an indoor kitty, and has no fleas. He does have tremendous bad breath though. Could a bad tooth perhaps cause him to throw up everything? All night? I can’t afford to take him to a vet right now!–I’m unemployed! What should I do?
Is the vomit looks a little bit gnarly like matted? If so then this could be hair balls, Cats can not digest their own fur, and needs hair ball remedy which is really affordable at the local store such as VONS or Safeway, much cheaper than the pet store.
If the vomit is of a different color, like the color of the food, he could be eating too much, also it could be just about anything else that is going on with your cat.
I do not know if you have Pet assistant in your area or not, there are programs that can help you foot the bill for the Vet, and there are Vets that are willing to allow you make small monthly payments as well.,
Being that your currently unemployed perhaps you could offer to trade any form of service that you have experience in, such as computer knowledge, data entry and so on in exchanged for Vet Care for your kitty.
