Overview
Why just lose weight when you can lose weight and freshen your breath? This is the concept behind Slim Mints®, the weight loss aid that is also a breath mint. Available in both peppermint and green tea flavors, Slim Mints® are said to reduce weight as well as any typical diet pill. This is not a surprising claim considering the effective ingredients in Slim Mints are included in many other diet formulas, though in this case they are not listed on the label in specific amounts.
Ingredients at a Glance
Slim Mints’® active ingredients include chromium picolinate, green tea, l-carnitine, and Splenda®.
Ingredients in Focus
Chromium picolinate may prevent glucose from being turned into excess fat and the amino acid l-carnitine may produce a similar effect. Green tea is an antioxidant; because of its caffeine content, green tea can temporarily reduce weight by expelling excess water from the body. Splenda® is a chemically altered form of sugar—a chlorine molecule is added to this sweetener, making it a potentially harmful substance if used too often.
Positives
• Available in two minty flavors
Negatives
• Does not help suppress appetite
• Proprietary blend of active ingredients leaves quantities unknown
• Contains a chemically altered sweetener that may cause negative side effects
• Includes caffeine
Final Thoughts
While the innovative idea behind Slim Mints® cannot be denied, the claims about its effectiveness as a weight loss aid can. There is not a significant amount of any active ingredient in this product to result in a change in metabolism. It is also impossible to know if slowly dissolving these ingredients in a mint will yield the same benefits as taking them in pill form. Whether taking a pill, mint, or a diet aid of another variety you should always view a solid exercise routine and healthy diet as the pillars of your weight loss plan. After establishing a program that will take you to your ideal weight you can determine which diet supplement will best compliment your plan.

What are the world’s strongest breath mints?
I am aware that some brands call themselves the world’s strongest mint, but I am not sure whether this is just a marketing tactic or not; thus, which is the world’s strongest by actual strength?
Fisherman’s Friend! If they’re too strong, you’re too weak.
Is it possible to get nice smelling breath without the use of mints?
Even after I brush my teeth, my breath still doesn’t smell great, is there are way to make it smell really nice without breath mints (or mouthwash, I hate mouthwash)? Thanks
The bad breath bacterial live in the far back region of the tongue. If you casn get yoru brish back there you will get rid of the bad breath. Initisally you may feel a gag resposnse but after several days of learning to brush your tongue you will get use to it and gag will go away.
