What is the best treatment for Bad Breath?

Does anyone have any knowledge on a syrinx of the spine. My daughter has had an MRI and it has shown up.?

Her orthopaedic surgeon is referring her to a neurosurgeon but could not say if the difficulty she experiences in breathing eg: shortness of breath when eating or sitting is related. Does/has anyone experienced this with this condition. She also has mild scoliosis as well. Any information on a styrix and its treatment would be very much welcomed. The worst and best case scenarios please. Thanx
