Anyone have a solution for bad breath?

A doctor told me a cheap and effective solution is rinse and gargle with salt and water mixed together.

Even after brushing after every meal, what could be the cause of haliotosis? Stress?

Could it be that I’m not digesting food properly?
someone told me my breath smelled like fart :(
and when i chew gum it smells as if i was drinking alcohol!!!

Yea nasty breath sucks. Have it too but that’s because I smoke so there’s an immediate solution to my problem. You should try chewing gum after meals. I do that and it’s a partial cure if you don’t mind the sugar coating it leaves on your teeth. But what I noticed when I first went to college was that if I didn’t brush my teeth the night before, I would have bad breath all day even if I brushed and used mouth wash in the morning. Make sure you brush at night and use mouth wash. I’m not a dentist but they always tell me to floss my teeth, and I also use a tongue scraper if I got real bad breath or something.

Also if you drink a lot of coffee (or any caffeine) or smoke, this can cause bad breath too. So gum chewing is the only thing that will cover this up. You should have asked you doctor about how to find out if it is that you’re not digesting your food right. There are cures for that with medications you can take I’m sure. Stress can do crazy things to your body, and bad breathe can probably be caused by that too (maybe you’re stressed because of your bad breathe so you are causing more bad breathe), so maybe try to relax more and do stuff that chills you out.

In general though, do what your dentist says, brush and floss twice a day, use mouth wash, and try those tongue scrapers. Gum can cover up bad breathe as well. If all this falls, go to a dentist and see what they say.

Good luck, hope your breathe gets better.

Does gargle salt water help with bad breath?

people say gargle with salt water help bad breath and im just curious if it does

It may, in the long run, but only if the salt water will kill the offending bacteria. It is common for dentists to recommend this after a tooth extraction or dental surgery. This helps to prevent infections. Generally bad breath would be due to different conditions. Use a good cleansing mouthwash instead and speak to your dentist as you may have a bigger problem.
