Bad Breath On Tongue 4 Bad Breath On Tongue

White coated tongue and really bad breath. Help?

Have had bad breath since I was 10…am now 25. I also recently noticed that I have a very bad coating all over my tongue, especially in the back (white). I can scrape and scrape, but it never comes off. I’m going to schedule an appointment with my doctor tomorrow to see why the coating is so bad. If I stick my finger on top of the thick coating in the back, it smells badly. However, it just won’t come off when I scrape.

What could be the cause for this? My mouth right now is very dry and a very yucky color.

dryness is part of the problem. you have to make sure you drink plenty of water which helps flush the bacteria. the white stuff is full of bacteria. our mouths contain good and bad. if you try a toothbrush with a tongue scraper, that should work. one to try is one made by GUM. Just keep scraping over and over until the white stuff is gone and scrape 3 times a day (every time you brush). make sure you floss too. it was a good idea that you made an appt. with the dentist too. he/she can suggest some options as well. good luck

Could eating large amounts of cooked onions and garlic cause bad breath?

My mum puts heavy, heavy amounts of onions and garlic in my dinner each day. She puts about a cup of blended onions and blocks and blocks of frozen garlic into whatever she is cooking.

Do you think this is having an impact on my breath? Could a diet like this be the reason why i get constant bad breath? Even after i floss, brush, use mouthwash, brush my tongue..i still get really bad breath?

A simple answer: YES!
