Bad Breath On Toddlers

How normal is a fear of needles?
When I know I have to get a shot or blood drawn. I see a needle and I get anxious, panicky, and I cant breathe. The second I feel that little pinch I sob, uncontrollably. I am worse then a toddler getting it’s tooth pulled. Looking at the band-aid on my arm makes me weepy and scared and I’m feeling short of breath just thinking about going back and getting blood drawn again next week. I have fainted before just getting shots! And because of a medical condition I have, I am always getting poked prodded and tested.
A nurse I had yesterday flipped on me because I could not control my crying when she brought in the tray of needles. She pretty much said, ‘how old are you? its just a blood test calm down!’. (I’m 22.) Was she just rude or am I just really crazy?
Are you afraid of needles? How can I get over it?
I’ve been afraid of needles for as long as I can remember. They just freak me out and the whole Idea of a needle going into my vein or skin just freaks me out. It kinda sucks because I think I might have to get blood work done, or an IV pretty soon. :/
I started my 1 year old on milk tuesday and starting yesterday, getting worse today, he smells awful!?
His breath stinks, even after brushing with toddler toothpaste, and he’s passing a lot of really nasty gas. His daddy thinks it could be a reaction to the milk. What do you guys think? Did that happen to any of your kids?
Well, it’d be an intolerance, not an allergy. An allergy would consist of his throat swelling shut and not breathing. I’ve seen it, it’s quite ugly.
Cow’s milk is hard for something like 60% of the population to digest, the proteins are really complex. I’m lactose intolerant, and so are two of my seven kids. We just don’t drink milk, we use soy milk for cooking and cereal. We have a much easier time getting our calcium from hard cheeses, yogurts (for which bacteria has already started the protein breakdown), as well as green leafy veggies and most beans.
