How Do I Get Rid of Bad Breath?

I have very good dental hygiene, but I can still taste my mouth one or two minutes after my routine. I floss, brush, and use mouthwash. I brush after every meal. But the fact that I can taste my mouth lets me know that I have unflattering breath. Usually, I notice it is a lot worst when I eat less. How do I get rid of bad breathe once and for all? What am I missing when I try to take care of my mouth? What’s wrong with it? It shouldn’t smell with the way I am so conscientious about taking care of my smile. (And yes, I brush my tongue also).

Bad breath in your case is likely due to your diet. I know that many people who don’t eat enough carbs have bad breath. Try eating a more balanced diet. If this isn’t the case and you eat a balanced diet then I second Glitter Bug and you should definitely see a dentist.

Note: Cover it up with gum until you figure it out. =]

Bad breath…..is it caused by……….?

boiled eggs? or any type of eggs for that matter? I don’t mean permanently, just like for the day or so.
eg. After eating anything with strong onions, I know for a fact that breath stinks, and it’s very strong too…(unless you like the smell).
Is this also true for eggs?
Please advise!
Thanx!
Yes, I do brush my teeth twice a day, and floss and clean my tongue and use a mouthwash…….but all that doesn’t matter because I’m only asking if boiled eggs can give you bad breath, for very, well, yeah, pretty obvious reasons! No offense meant!

The answer is Yes. Eggs can cause bad breath. They are very rich in good nutrition. Most bad breath is caused by bacteria that grow on the top of the tongue and produce sulfur containing compounds that smell, that is a major cause of bad breath. Eggs are very good food for bacteria. In addition, smelly foods we eat, such as onions or garlic, also collect on the top of the tongue. Cleaning your tongue with a toothbrush or just a scraper will not remove the smelly material that collects in the deep indentations of the tongue. Try cleaning your tongue with a tongue cleaner that has both a brush and a scraper.
