How to treat bad breath due to sinus infections?

Get the infection treated by a professional! Feel better!

In the meantime you can decrease the bad smell by:

1. Avoiding certain foods such as garlic, onions, dairy products, fish, coffee, and alcohol.

2. Brushing your teeth with baking soda which immediately eats-up odor.

3. Take 2 tablespoons of organic Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water each day to regulate the PH balance in your body.

4. Mix the contents of a fennel capsule with baking soda, make into a paste, and brush your teeth, gums and tongue with it. The fluid extract of fennel can be rubbed on your gums and tongue.

5. Chew on sprigs of fresh mint or whole cloves.

6. Snack on carrots, celery, or other vegetables to keep plaque from forming.

7. Chew on sunflower seeds.

recurrent sinus infections?

Ok, I’m going to see my doctor on the 28th and i wanted to know if anyone else experiences this. I always get sick due to an immune disease called CVID, it starts out with sinus headaches, then i start sneezing, and i get sore throats only in the morning when i wake up. They go away after about an hour. Then i start coughing usually dry but occasionally i cough up stuff. The cough gets worse for the next few days until it gets very deep and hurts my upper chest and throat. I get these strange “cough attacks” where i cough very hard for 10 seconds. This leaves me out of breath for a a minute or two and hurts my chest. I even can hear wheezing sometimes. The cough keeps me up at night as well. After a total of 4-5 days i start feeling better. Does anyone experience this and do you have any advice as to what can relieve the symptoms?

I get sinus headaches. Acupressure helps to relieve the face pain and gets the crap moving, it is very important to blow your nose everyday, even if you don’t feel you need too. I also use antibiotic ointment in my nose. What is happening is the crap is running down your throat, making it sore. I get that dry cough at night, I just keep water by the bed. I do not get a cough so bad that it goes to my chest, so not sure about that. I do get a wheezy cough. You might try a hot tea at night.
