My dog is having troubles breathing..HELP!!?

I have a boston terrier, he has DCM… a heart disease which there is no cure for. my dog is not even 2
The last 2 days [including today] he has been getting worse and worse. he is always coughing and having troubling breathing up to the point where he can’t lie down. this is happening at the moment, were taking him to be put down tommorow morning.. but for now what should i do? he’s so tired but when he tries to lie down he springs back up because he cannot breath, PLEASE HELP! i love my dog and do not want him to suffer.

Will he let you hold him in an upright position so he can rest? Can you prop him up with pillows? He can’t lie on his side, he can’t breathe in that position, but you might be able to help him relax and get some rest if you can get him in a position where he is lying on his chest/stomach.

I’m sorry your dog is so sick at such a young age!

A cure for bad doggie breath?

I have a Papillon and he is currently a year old. His breath is so gross that you don’t even want him to breathe on you. I brush his teeth at least three times a week ( You are only suppose to do it twice according to the tube) I know it is not his food because all of our dogs eat the same food and their breath is not bad. If I have to take him to the vet then so be it. but I wanted to know two things: One, Does your Papillon ( if you have one) have stinky breath? And Two, What else can I do?

Research raw feeding. It completely eliminated my dogs’ bad breath. Your dog may have developed an allergy to the kibble you feed. One of mine did, so we recently took both of them off of kibble and put them on raw.

Raw fed dogs generally never need their teeth brushed, never need anal glands expressed, have no weight issues, shiny fur, etc etc etc. Generally. Not all dogs do great on raw, but most do. Some dogs do fine on kibble, some don’t.
