Can Gallstone symptoms be similar to IBS?

For over a year I’ve been experiencing problems with my bowel, feeling bloated after meals, constipation or diarrhoea, gas etc and after a few tests including and Colon-oscapy I was told it was Irritable Bowel Syndrome. But recently I have been having bad pains in my lower back and in my shoulder and lower ribs, at first I thought I’d puled a muscle but after two weeks, painkillers and inflammatory drugs prescribed by my GP it hasn’t cleared up. The more I think about it the less it feels like a pulled muscle, I’ve also started getting stabbing type pains in my abdomen as well as chest pains that made it hard to breath for a few mins. The other things that had happened recently is feeling nauseous quite often, which I put down to travel sickness even though I’ve never been Travel sick before. I had my appendix out a few years ago, I’m 28 and female and I know I’m not pregnant. I am seeing my GP tomorrow, but was just wondering if gallstones could be the cause?

sounds very much like ibs syndrome i have it and i have all sorts of pains mostly all of the symptoms you have described i get i have had it over 20 years now still a nuisance though you live with it doesn’t make it any better but then again could be worse i guess so good luck with it all and welcome to the ibs world

PERIOD PAIN…WEIRD QUESTION?

I have been experiencing some very bizarre pain during my periods. I am getting older so periods are not new to me but lately, I’ve been getting these awful cramps in my rectum. Awful meaning take my breath away pain associated with passing gas or moving my bowels. It feels like something the size of a grapefruit just moved through my colon. I am not constipated and my stools are not hard. I find it difficult to NOT yell out in pain during these episodes which are usually quick and fleeting (thank god) because the pain is so bad and when I do move my bowels, it hurts so bad it brings me to tears. This only happens during my period, again, thank god. Does anyone else out there experience this?

i do that 2 sometimes when im on it. only mine isnt 2 the point im yelling. u might want 2 see a doctor about that if it hurts so bad 2 have 2 yell. but yea, i dont know what it is.
