Cancer: Between Diagnosis And Treatment
A cancer diagnosis knocks you flat and before you can get up off the floor, you are swamped by a tsunami of strange medical lingo, perpetual appointments, costly medications, dreadful treatments, possible surgery and an uncertain future. Everything moves along too fast to afford you the luxury of finding your emotional balance.
Just a simple statement from your doctor instantly topples everything familiar and comfortable. Your home, your relationships, your job and your future all change in an instant and will never again be quite the same.
Unfortunately, you simply cannot afford a delay between the cancer diagnosis and the treatment. The sooner you schedule chemotherapy, radiation and/or surgery the better. Unfortunately, your cancer has no sense of fair play and will not wait for you to get your bearings.
So you are suddenly forced to make incredibly important decisions, to re-organize your schedule and to fight the battle of your life while you are still emotionally, intellectually and physically off-center.
This is the worst possible time for you to lose your best, strongest and most stable inner self. So, it is essential that you find a way to center yourself quickly in spite of the turmoil in your life and to remember your former strong, confident, clear-thinking self.
ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT
Use the survival odds to inspire you rather than to fill you with dread. If only 3 out of 5 patients survive with your particular type of tumor, then someone has to be number 4 or 5! Decide that you will be on the good side of those odds.
You will spend a lot of time surrounded by masked strangers who are speaking a language you do not understand (probably Greek or Latin). You will shuffle along cold hallways in a paper dress and slippers. While everyone around you stands, you will be flat on your back or with your tail in the air. Remember that all these people work for YOU. They are part of YOUR personal medical team. They are completely focused on getting you through this.
SEEK HELP
Unless you have a medical degree, you are understandably out of your element. Ask questions and keep asking until you understand the answers. Write down the answers. No, they will not think you are stupid. They work for you, remember?
GIVE HELP
You will feel better when you help others feel better. You have important experience and unique wisdom to share with a support group, even from day one of your treatment. No one can quite understand what you are going through like others who are struggling through the same challenge. Participate in any studies that are pertinent to your condition. These studies are usually nothing more than a brief phone interview. Your efforts will contribute to saving others from going through this same experience.
KEEP RECORDS
It’s a bad idea to keep all pertinent phone numbers, chemo schedule, and various medications on scraps of paper. It is astonishing how quickly you will gather up important information. Buy a three-ring binder. Divide it into “lab reports,” “calendar,” “phone numbers,” “questions,” etc. Stick a funny cover or cartoon on it. When you are all well again, file it.
FIND YOUR CENTER
If you have practiced meditation, breathing exercises, Tai Chi or yoga in the past, stay with the practice so long as your doctors approve. Continue anything you do that absorbs you completely like playing a musical instrument, needlework or painting.
RE-THINK YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR BODY
Your body is only part of who you are and your cancer is only a tiny part of your body. Think of your body as something you wear rather than the totality of who you are.
NURTURE YOUR MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT
After all, it will take all of them to win this battle. Eat and sleep well. Allow quiet time to yourself. Don’t allow yourself to get so bogged down in medical stuff that you lose sight of coming out of this stronger and wiser than before your diagnosis. Envision a healthy new you after chemo, after radiation, after surgery.

Looking for the name of a movie?
I think it was actually called just “Movie” or that was what it was called on the guide for Cartoon Network, I’m not EXACTLY sure if it was called Movie so don’t take my word on that. So it was a cartoon movie, little things I remember was there was this girl, and parents and they were moving (houses), so they were driving to their new house and they stopped and there was a bunch of food (and no one around) and here parents dug in and she was all like no dont eat that food it could be bad or something but they kept ateing and then they turned into pigs or something, like actual pigs. I also remember another part where I think there were like ghosts coming in and she had to hold her breath when she went across this bridge or something or they would know she was human, and this part is pretty foggy i’m not entirely sure it was in the movie but i remember her like bathing and cleaning people? ANY HELP?
Spirited Away! great movie
Bill Nye the Science Guy
Contents
The show ran about the same time as and covered similar topics to Beakman’s World, in fact sharing one crew member, editor/writer/director Michael Gross. He made an appearance on the Disney Channel’s New Mickey Mouse Club in its forty-eighth episode Anything Can Happen Day. Before this show, Bill Nye had previously worked alongside Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future: The Animated Series, where Nye played Doc Brown’s assistant and demonstrated several experiments.
Bill Nye the Science Guy has been likened to a modern Mr. Wizard. Bill’s TV persona is a tall and slender scientist wearing a lab coat and a bow-tie. He mixes the serious science of everyday things with fast-paced action and humor. Each show begins with Bill walking onto the set, called “Nye Labs”, which is filled with scientific visuals (including many “of science” contraptions announced dramatically, such as “The slingshots of Science!”) relevant to the topic of the show. Most episodes contain a mock song parody and music video in the “Soundtrack of Science” by “Not That Bad Records”, substituting a scientific roundup of the episode for the lyrics to a popular song. Each show ends with Bill explaining his departure in a clever description of an activity on topic. The credits sometimes rolled next to a series of outtakes from the episode. Other times, outtakes are shown at the time they actually happened.
Another popular member of the cast is the announcer Pat Cashman, whom Nye knew from his time on Almost Live!. Some announcers who subbed in for Cashman include Ernie Anderson, Gary Owens, and Brian Cummings. In 1996, Bill made a guest appearance on Cartoon Network’s talk-show Space Ghost Coast to Coast in its twenty-fourth episode, Boo! with Michael Norman. A year later, he made a guest appearance on the long-running PBS series Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.

Theme song
Aside from Bill himself, one of the most memorable things about Bill Nye the Science Guy is its theme song. The bass-heavy theme is set to a Hip hop beat with Bill’s name shouted throughout the duration of the song. The sound and speed fluctuations of the voice were accomplished through a vocoder and electronic pitch fluctuator. The theme song is credited to Mike Greene.
Production music
The show’s episodes consisted of several compositions from Associated Production Music, some featured tracks include:
“Act of Heroism (c)
“Blood in the Gutter” by Laurie Johnson
“Drama Impact #3″
“The Gunfighter” by Ennio Morricone
“Hit and Run” by Ralph Dollimore
“Killer Birds” by Gregor Narholz
“Saw Theme”
Many of these tracks were also featured in many Nickelodeon cartoons in the 1990s. Another common track used was the theme from the English show Dave Allen At Large, here used as the theme from “The Jackie Smazz Show.”

Video Game
A computer game for the series, titled Bill Nye the Science Guy: Stop the Rock!, was released in 1996 for PC and Macintosh by Pacific Interactive. In the game, a large meteoroid called “Impending Dum” threatens to make a catastrophic collision with the Earth. A team of scientists develop a laser satellite-controlling computer system called MAXX to destroy the meteoroid; however, MAXX develops a personality of its own (in an obvious parody of the sentient computer HAL from the film and novel 2001: A Space Odyssey) and refuses to save the planet unless Earth’s scientists can solve seven science riddles. Nye Labs decides to take on MAXX’s challenge, and the player, depicted as the newest member of the Nye Labs team, is asked to solve these riddles before Impending Dum hits (represented through an in-game timer). The game featured a fully explorable Nye Labs, as well as video cut scenes featuring Bill Nye and other Nye Labs scientists. However, the characters and cast members from the TV series, sans Bill Nye and a few others, do not appear in this game, instead being replaced by game-exclusive Nye Labs team members and new actors.

Panic Disorder: Natural Tips To Help Me Fight My Panic Disorder
If you are looking for a medication that would help you with your panic disorder, you may easily find one. There are different lines that could treat your panic disorder. You may opt to get some medicines or drugs, or you may also get a help from a professional therapist. On the other hand, for people who are on a budget, or for those who prefer the natural way, you are just on the right track. I will be discussing about natural tips to help you fight .
I could give you tips that will help you fight a panic attack in an instant. Also, I can provide some natural techniques to help you fight panic disorder for good. Let me just define what I mean by natural tactics. I will not use any medicines. I would only make use of simple exercises and materials that will not lead to any kind of negative side effects.
The first thing that I would like to share with you is the old but very reliable technique. This is a breathing exercise. When people say that you have to “breath in and breath out” to relax, listen to them because it does wonders. However, you cannot just breath in and breath out without following proper instructions. I have a little tweak that will make this old trick way more effective.
Here’s how you do it. Find a quiet spot or somewhere where you could sit comfortably without being distracted. Sit up straight, and close your eyes. Try to be aware of your breathing. Put your hands on your lap. Then, inhale for four counts, the counting should be done mentally. The proper way to inhale is by using your nose while your mouth is slightly opened. Make sure that you fill your lungs with air. You will notice that your chest will expand and there is actually a feeling of being “full”.
After that, you have to hold your breath for seven counts. Then, gradually exhale for eight counts. I usually do it for six consecutive times, and then check my breathing. If my breathing has not improved yet, I still do the exercise for another round. I just repeat the exercise until my breathing has normalized.
Now, I bet you have seen in cartoons or other television shows that people tend to reach out for a small brown paper bag whenever they are nervous or having a panic attack. This is actually true. I do the same exercise to help me with my breathing during a panic attack. I just cover my mouth and nose with a medium-sized paper bag and do an inhale and exhale.
You should not combine the breathing exercise I have mentioned with this brown paper bag technique. You no longer have to hold your breath. You just have to do a slow inhale and exhale. The idea here is, we would like to control the oxygen you are breathing in. During the moment of your hyperventilation, your body breaths in a lot of oxygen, while you lose carbon dioxide. This is what the paper bag approach will be of huge help.
You may also want to try yoga. This is one of the best ancient breathing exercises. You will be getting two perks as you can make use of the exercise as a way to control your panic attacks, and your body will also get some good exercise. So, you no longer need to worry about the bad side effects of your medicines as you may also try these natural tips to help you fight your panic disorder. These exercises would only give you’re an advantage over your panic disorder.
