Do you brush your tongue when you brush your teeth ?

yes or no – i hope that you do brush your tongue.. that is where bad breath resides in.

Yes………always…..and nearly always gag!

bad breath and tongue damage?

ok so i brush like like crazy everyday, 3-5 times (before breakfast, after breakfast, after school, before bed) and i brush my tongue too (rather vigorously) to eliminate odor.
But now the problem is that after an hour or two my tongue gets very slimy again and i know i have bad breath to the point other people around me can smell it if im talking to them.

have i damaged my tongue? or has this bacteria learned to re-grow that fast?

(i drink lots of water during that time, and even if I eat no food, i still seem to be getting that bad breath, and slimy tongue 1-2 hours later)

any suggestions, other than heading to a dentist??
(i floss as well!)

thanks for all the replies! i think i should get it checked out in case it’s an internal problem in my stomach or something.

Rinse with Listerine or other antiseptic mouthwash (not Scope!) after brushing. It’s not necessary to brush 5 times a day. Three is great! Make sure you are flossing though. Not flossing can cause bad breath.
